Job Summary

Build useful, reliable AI applications for Bata MDC, connecting models, knowledge, and tools to improve engineering, content, and digital commerce workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Turn team needs into AI-assisted applications, knowledge tools, and practical automation workflows.
Build API integrations and retrieval workflows that connect models to approved data and services.
Evaluate output quality with representative examples, monitor limitations, and improve reliability.
Design maintainable services with appropriate testing, access controls, observability, and data handling.
Collaborate with engineers and business colleagues, document decisions, and support systems through their lifecycle.

Qualifications

Practical software development experience with Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript and APIs.
Hands-on experience building applications with language models and understanding their limitations.
Familiarity with retrieval, structured outputs, evaluation, and integrating models with tools.
A careful approach to data privacy, access control, testing, and production reliability.
Clear communication, ownership, and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to the team.
